Waseca County 4-H Benefit Breakfast
Date: March 4, 2012
Time: 6:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Event Description
Everyone is invited to attend a breakfast at the VFW in Waseca on March 4th. This is a fundraiser for the Waseca County 4-H Ambassadors. Funds raised will be used for service projects and leadership opportunities. All of your favorite breakfast foods (pancakes, bacon, toa...st, eggs, hash browns, etc...) will be available at the breakfast. We will not be selling tickets in advance - just come hungry and pay at the door!
The 4-H Ambassadors are a group of 4-H members in grade 7th thru one year past high school who learn leadership and life skills through promoting 4-H, assisting at 4-H and community events, planning activities, and completing community service projects. In 2011, the Ambassadors put in over 1,420 hours of service to the community and 4-H, which was an average of 57 hours per youth.
Two of their service projects this year include making and serving a dinner for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester on February 19th and painting the East Annex Community Meeting Room in late spring.
Leadership opportunities for the group include team-building retreats, speakers, tours, and skill-building activities. In recent years, they've taken trips to YMCA Camp St Croix, Wabasha Street Caves, and camped at Interstate State Park.
Please support 4-H and the youth leaders it develops. Also, help spread the word and invite your friends and family!
